Mommy Break

In Moms on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 8:06 am

Last week Erin’s Mother-In-Law kept her two boys (ages 5 & 3) for two hours so she could have a Mommy break.

Guess what she did?

She worked out at the gym . . .

For two hours!

What would you do with a two hour Mommy break?

  1. I’d join Erin at the gym. 😀

  2. Um, definitely NOT go to the gym, lol.

    Watch a chick flick.
Go to the grocery store. (Note: I do not like to take my boys to the grocery store. AT. ALL.)

  3. Take a nap.

Or go get my hair and nails done. If we were rich.

  4. Read. Paint. Play a round of golf. I wouldn’t go to the gym. 😉

  5. Yeah…not go to the gym. Sorry, Erin!

My favorite Mommy Break is sitting at Barnes and Noble. I have been known to read an entire book in one sitting while there! Sometimes I feel a little guilty for not paying for it. But what’s the diff in reading it there and getting it at the library, right?

I’m with Gina too though. I would totally love to pretty up my hair and nails if I had the money!

  6. I would go to a thrift store or go sit in a coffee shop and journal. Or I might get really crazy and do both!

  7. I would go read and drink a Dr. Pepper with out anyone wanting a drink of it=)

  8. Sleep or shop. Sleep or shop.

  9. I had to laugh at Nicole’s answer. I am looking forward to a day that I can eat something alone, drink something by myself, go to the bathroom by myself, and shower alone. But then I’ll miss them being little. I’d rather them be little 😉

  10. i would go and get a 1 hour massage and then get a pedicure…so my tossie’s will look good for our trip to the beach with your daughter Ali 🙂
